Evolution and human origins.

When i was in clases of "Prehistoria" i like the referens the teachers did about human evolution. they spoke about how we evolve in the homindis that we are now. The story started when little acuatic beens go out from the see and, after a long, long process through to thousand of years, they adapted to these new conditions and became terrestrial animal.

There`s several discutions about how the human succeeded to became raised in two feet because there`s no enough evidence to explains this, the sure is after this process the men (an women) survive to several glaciations at the same time they were conquering all the world, started in Africa, the Asia, Europe, australia and in the last, America. Besides, depitethe cold of these ages they were abble to creat art and languages.
the most interested thing of this is that we have engraving in our ADN all the evolutive process, since it began.
the most famous magazine about science is Nature, it publishes important articles about the human origins. this is the link.

Three anthropology sites.

Anthropology born like a science that tried to justify the European colonialism, they need a rational justification to have colonies and they found it in the anthropology, they said that some people o races were inferior for them social organization o their color and because of that they could dominated them. Is for that I choose this website.

The second site i choose is one that talks about Charles Darwin, the famous scientist, i choose that site because he is very important to anthropology for his theory about the origin of the species, one of the first theories of anthropology bases its ideas on Darwin.

Archeology is a part of anthropology, this science looks for humans rest, the archeologist tried to related these materials to the culture of those humans. Archeology is very useful to anthropology because it helps to the study of cultures when have no written records. Is for that i choose that website.

What i did this weekend

The past Saturday i went to my grandma´s house because she has prepared a lunch, and she invited my uncle and his wife and my brother and i, it was a really boring lunch. Besides that day i taught Hui-ting to read spanish. Hui-ting is an oriental girl, she is 7 years old and she already speak three languages: Mandarin, English and Spanish.

Sunday evening i went out with my boyfriend, Sergio, we went to see a movie and then we went to eat something in the Mc Donald`s, that day in the night i study prehistoria because i have an exam this weak and i have to read a lot about human`s evolution.

My favorite song

Buffalo Soldier (Bob Marley)

I like the lyric of this song because it inspires in me a big feeling of solidarity and force to fight. The ‘buffalo soldiers’ were african people who was stolen from their land, and brought to the United States to work for the white men. This people gave their beautiful culture to the society, and later had to fight for survive in a society who didn’t appreciate them. This teaches us the importance of to know our past and our ascendance. Sometimes we think that the indians who lived here aren’t good people, but we have to think that they are only trying to defend what was of them much before of our arrive.

Buffalo Soldier
Bob Marley

Buffalo soldier, dreadlock rasta: There was a buffalo soldier in the heart of america, Stolen from africa, brought to america, Fighting on arrival, fighting for survival. I mean it, when I analyze the stench - To me it makes a lot of sense: How the dreadlock rasta was the buffalo soldier, And he was taken from africa, brought to america, Fighting on arrival, fighting for survival. Said he was a buffalo soldier, dreadlock rasta - Buffalo soldier in the heart of america. If you know your history, Then you would know where you coming from, Then you wouldnt have to ask me, Who the eck do I think I am. Im just a buffalo soldier in the heart of america, Stolen from africa, brought to america, Said he was fighting on arrival, fighting for survival; Said he was a buffalo soldier win the war for america. Dreadie, woy yoy yoy, woy yoy-yoy yoy, Woy yoy yoy yoy, yoy yoy-yoy yoy! Woy yoy yoy, woy yoy-yoy yoy, Woy yoy yoy yoy, yoy yoy-yoy yoy! Buffalo soldier troddin through the land, wo-ho-ooh! Said he wanna ran, then you wanna hand, Troddin through the land, yea-hea, yea-ea. Said he was a buffalo soldier win the war for america; Buffalo soldier, dreadlock rasta, Fighting on arrival, fighting for survival; Driven from the mainland to the heart of the caribbean.

Let`s talk about me

My name is Ana Maria, I live in Santiago with my brother (the rest of my family lives in the south) and I study anthropology in the University of Chile. I don’t like music or go to parties, but I like to read, study (a little) and i really lke go to protest and demand what we deserve My plans for future are go out of the country, travel around the world, know different people and cultures, live with them for awhile, then maybe came back to Chile, install a library and sell my favorites books and mine (because I’ll also write one).
